We are delighted to announce that we have set up and launched an Equine Lawline to enable equestrians to obtain legal advice without the need to instruct a Solicitor formally.
Jacqui Fulton comments that “this is ideal for persons wanting to obtain legal advice on a small claims matter where they wish to avoid instructing Solicitors to run the case as the costs rules in small claims dictate that each party bears their own costs regardless of the outcome. Or for a case where a party is self represented and needs legal advice on a certain point”.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority last week released figures confirming that 9 out of 10 people do not contact a qualified Solicitor to take advice because of a lack of easily accessible ways to take advice. This will ensure access to legal advice in respect of equine issues.
The Lawline number is 0903 991 0002
Calls are charged at £3.60 per minute, plus your phone provider’s access charge. Callers must be 18+ & have the bill payer’s permission. Live calls are recorded.
Jacqui Fulton is a Solicitor of England and Wales and has specialised in Equine Law since 2003.
Free legal advice is available from the Citizens Advice Bureau.
